 Dear League Officer/Captain,

             As many of you know, Sun Valley Lanes offers a wide variety of awards or incentives for bowling accomplishments of our league players.  We are very proud to be the only center in Lincoln to offer such a vast program.

            As a league officer or captain, you may be questioned to what the program is or how it works.  Please familiarize yourself with this program as many of the awards are targeted to all skill levels.

League Awards

Award Pins - "For Ladies Only"

            For a first time 175, 200, 225, or 250 game at Sun Valley Lanes

            For a first time 500, 550, or 600 series at Sun Valley Lanes

Pizza Prize Awards

        For any bowler scoring a game that is 75 pins over average, or any bowler scoring a 3 game series that is 150 pins over average, they will receive an 8” cheese pizza certificate.  Base average is calculated by using the current (21 games or more) average or last year’s book average, which ever is higher.  Prize awarded once during the season (August 17, 2008-August 15, 2009).

            For any regular 5-person team rolling a ‘clean 50’ (no opens for the entire game), they will receive a 14” one-topping pizza.  Not valid during league make-ups.  Prize awarded once during the season (August 17, 2008-August 15, 2009).

Change Bank/Umbrella Award

For any bowler rolling a special score (all-spare game, Dutch 200, or triplicate series), the bowler will receive a Sun Valley Lanes bowling ball change bank or Sun Valley Lanes Umbrella (while supplies last).  Prize awarded once during the season (August 17, 2008-August 15, 2009).

            For a first time 600 series for a female with an average of 159 and under, or a first time 700 series for a male with an average of 174 and under, they will receive a personalized double ball bag.  For a first time 650 series for a female with an average of 160 and above, or a first time 750 series for a male with an average of 175 and above, they will receive a personalized double ball bag.  Please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery.  Secretary verification may be required.  Either bag awarded only once during a lifetime.

High Score Award

            For any regular female league bowler rolling a sanctioned 275 or better game during league play, the bowler will receive $100 in Players Club credit, compliments of Sun Valley Lanes.  Awarded only once during a lifetime.

            For any regular male league bowler rolling a sanctioned 300 game during league play, the bowler will receive $100 in Players Club credit, compliments of Sun Valley Lanes.  Awarded only once during a lifetime.

Koozie Award

            A Sun Valley Lanes Koozieä is awarded to any league bowler that is 50+ over average in a single game during league play.  The average is based on a minimum of 21 games or the previous year average is used.  If a new bowler, or no book average, they are not eligible until they have completed 21 games.  Awarded only once during a season (August 17, 2008-August 15, 2009).

League Incentives

            The following is a list of incentives that every regular league member receives for bowling in a league here at Sun Valley Lanes.

League Bowler Discount

            Sun Valley Lanes regular league members (regular roster members only) are eligible to receive a discounted time bowling rate, which varies based on day/time.  This discount only applies when a regular league member is playing on the lane, and is only valid for one lane.  This offer may not be combined with any other special, discount or offer.  Pre-paid reservations for open play are accepted (subject to terms).

Pro Shop Discount

            All regular league members, with their VIB card, currently receive 10% off discount on all pro shop purchases.  Discount and Player’s Club points may not be available on closeout or sale merchandise.  Discount subject to expiration at any time.

End of Season Party

            At the end of the league season, a complimentary sandwich buffet will be provided for the league members.  This is provided to those leagues with a minimum 26-week league season.

           This program is in effect for the 2008-2009 winter league season.  Awards are not retroactive and, as always, are only for regular team roster members of the league that the award is achieved.  A regular member is defined as a person that pays for, and competes in a minimum of 1/2 of the regular league season (approximately 52 games).  Those roster members that do not pay for, and/or fail to complete 1/2 of the league season, will be ineligible to receive awards.  Substitutes or pacers are not eligible for any awards.  Management reserves the right to alter or remove parts of this program at any time.  Please note that other rules/restrictions may apply.  Please see the manager for more details.
